When it comes to education, Ernestina is passionate about helping instructors and learners have great experiences online. She mentors and leads the Uplift Learning Inc. team in training innovation. She wants to change the training conversation from “What’s wrong with learners?” to “How can design help learners succeed?”
In her educational practice, Ernestina’s worked with diverse clients developing and optimizing training for in-person, e-learning and blended delivery. Her M.A. research about learning and technology deeply explored how to develop and deliver online and blended (online and in-person) training. Ernestina has watched e-learning evolve and grow for 20+ years. She developed her first online course as a multimedia design student in 2001.
Her work has touched 150,000 people using six different learning management systems. She’s strategized and implemented eLearning for organizations with 25,000 to 90,000 employees. Her clients come from dozens of different specialties. She’s worked with scientists, surgeons, storytellers, researchers, mental health professionals, nurses and refugees – just to name a few. She’s spent hundreds of hours observing countless professionals do their work to answer one critical question:
What are we teaching? Experts often find it difficult to narrow down what they know in a way others will get it. Ernestina shines when she helps them find new ways of making sense of what they know to empower others in their learning journeys. .
